Each charcuterie & cutting board is handmade with love and materials that are food safe, made in the USA, and free of harmful chemicals, solvents, VOC’s, and hardeners. Each board is conditioned and finished with one of two of our favorite products:
- Odie's Oil original non-toxic Wood Finish and Stabilizer, or
- Rubio Monocoat, a 0% VOC food compliant hardwax oil wood finish.
To clean your board, hand wash with water and a small amount of mild soap (like Dawn dish soap), rinse off all the suds, and then wipe completely dry. Remember, never soak your board in water or clean it in the dishwasher.
Normal use of your cutting board will probably create knife marks, nicks, and scars in the wood, and some wood scars more easily. With proper care, your board should stay conditioned for many years! But, if you notice your board getting dull, you may want to refresh the finish. To bring back the sheen, simply add a thin layer of wood wax, or wood butter to the wood with a rag, let it set for about 45 minutes, and buff it off completely.
